No Bake Brownies

It’s snowing outside, and my chocolate cravings are through the roof. I want something fudgy, decadent and full of chocolate. Now that screams brownies, right? But… I’m also feeling super lazy. Introducing Lazy Girl No Bake Brownies.

This recipes needs only 3 ingredients. You read that right. And no, it doesn’t taste like cardboard. It has the perfectly fudgy texture and tastes incredibly divine.

The original recipe is by The Big Man’s World and it is a healthier version. But I tweaked it be the ultimate indulgence, prepared in an unbelievably short amount of time.

Let’s talk about the substitutes I used. And yes, the original recipe is super easy and versatile, with The Big Man himself providing options for substitutes.

Why do I call this recipe “Lazy Girl” No Bake Brownies?

There are a few reasons that made this recipe earn the “Lazy Girl” title.

  • It literally takes less than 10 minutes to make (I mean… in this economy??)
  • It uses only 3 ingredients (again… in THIS economy??)

When I found this recipe initially, I was a little skeptical. It looked too good to be true and also they are meant to be healthy.

But then I went through it properly and realized, I could sub most of the ingredients with something else. And because I wasn’t focused on a healthy dessert per se, I swapped out the healthier ingredients.

What’s the best part about this recipe?

I topped off these Lazy Girl No Bake Fudgy Chocolate brownies with Nutella. Yep, all of the Nutella.

In the original recipe, chocolate frosting is used with a healthy recipe version available as well. But, I went for Nutella. You can also use just about any chocolate spread you have lying around. Remember, these are supposed to be easy, peasy, and most importantly… lazy.

I halved the original recipe and ended up with 6 brownie squares. They are quite filling and I find that it pairs beautifully with a hot cup of coffee. Because of the fudgy texture, they do stick around in your mouth a bit.

If you want a deeper, richer flavor – just swap out regular cocoa powder for dark cocoa powder.

You can find the original video for the recipe on The Big Man’s World Instagram here.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of peanut butter or tahini or almond butter

  • 1/4 cup of honey or maple syrup

  • 1/2 cup of cocoa powder

  • Nutella or any chocolate spread for topping (optional)

Directions

  • In a bowl, add all of your ingredients. I used a mix of tahini and peanut butter. I also used dark cocoa powder instead of the regular type.
  • Mix together all of the ingredients until well combined.
  • Transfer your mixture to a tray, bowl or pan, spreading it out evenly.
  • If you’re using Nutella or a chocolate spread, add that too and spread out evenly.
  • Transfer your lazy girl no bake brownies to the fridge and allow to set for 30 minutes.
  • Cut into even sized pieces and enjoy.
