Banana bread is already such an easy recipe but what if I told you that you could make it even easier? I’m very fond of the Lazy Girl series – it’s perfect for all the girlies (and gents and thems, we don’t discriminate) who want a delicious homemade recipe but cannot find the energy to go through a lengthy process. This is for all of you!
What makes this Classic Banana Bread a Lazy Girl recipe?
This recipe qualifies as lazy girl because it uses only one bowl and everything is dumped into it. You don’t need to separate your dry and your wet, you don’t need any extra steps or lengthy adjustments – just throw everything in together.
I had some bananas that ripened really fast so I tossed them in the freezer before they went bad. They were perfect for this recipe, I just pulled them out of the freezer and gave them about 15-20 minutes to thaw.
Chocolate Chips vs. Walnuts
I know there are so many variations to the banana bread recipe, but I have always loved the classic version the most. I prefer adding chopped walnuts over chocolate chips and so this recipe will use the former.
If you know anything about me, I LOVE a variety of textures. However, if you suffer from any allergies, feel free to switch walnuts out with pecans or almonds instead or just also leave them out entirely.
