Instant Brown Sugar Iced Latte

Summer is here and so are our iced latte cravings – specifically brown sugar iced lattes! We’re going strong with our boycott of Starbucks and what better time than now to replicate our favorite drinks from their menu?

One of my absolute favorites for the summer is the Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso which is definitely a mouthful. We’re shortening the name as well as the process of whipping up this delectable drink.

In all the copycat recipes I’ve found, there were far too many steps involved. I mean, I want to whip this drink together in just about the same amount of time my order would be ready at Starbucks. This recipe is beginner-friendly, fool-proof and needs no fancy equipment or lengthy processes.

All you need is a glass and a jar. No, really!

Why This Recipe Is A Winner?

What makes this brown sugar iced latte so irresistible? Here’s why you’ll love it:

  • No Fancy Equipment: Seriously, you don’t need any fancy tools. Just a jar and your favorite glass are all you need to make this magical drink.
  • Quick & Easy: We’re not turning on the stove or making complicated syrups. It’s all about getting that cafe-quality drink in just a few minutes.
  • Simple Ingredients: Only 5 key ingredients (including ice!) come together for a sweet, frothy, and cozy iced latte.
  • Customizable: Whether you like it super sweet or a little less, you can adjust the brown sugar to suit your taste. The cinnamon adds just the right amount of warmth, too.

This instant brown sugar iced latte is perfect for when you need a quick, delicious pick-me-up without all the fuss. You don’t need fancy equipment—just a jar and a glass.

Can I Use Brewed Coffee?

Absolutely! If you’re not a fan of instant coffee, feel free to use brewed coffee. Just make sure it’s cooled down before you add it to the jar for shaking. Instant coffee works wonders here because it’s quick and hassle-free, but brewed coffee is a solid alternative for those who prefer it.

What Type Of Milk Can I Use?

This recipe is flexible—use whatever milk or milk alternative you prefer! I love using full-fat milk because it adds a creamy texture and richness. But oat milk, almond milk, skimmed milk, or whatever you like will work just fine. It’s all about making this iced latte your own!

How To Make This Instant Brown Sugar Iced Latte?

It’s all about simplicity here. Just follow these steps, and you’ll have a delicious iced latte in no time:

  • Combine Ingredients in a Jar: In a small jar, add the instant coffee, brown sugar, cinnamon powder, and hot water. Seal the jar tightly.
  • Shake It Up: Shake the jar vigorously for about 3-4 minutes. The magic happens here—you’ll see the coffee froth up and become smooth and creamy.
  • Assemble the Latte: Add your ice cubes (12-16 cubes works best for me) to a tall glass, pour in the milk, and then add the frothy brown sugar coffee mixture from the jar.
  • Top It Off: For extra indulgence, top your latte with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon powder. It’s the perfect finishing touch!
