Summer is here and so are our iced latte cravings – specifically brown sugar iced lattes! We’re going strong with our boycott of Starbucks and what better time than now to replicate our favorite drinks from their menu? One of my absolute favorites for the summer is the Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso which is definitely a mouthful. We’re shortening the name as well as the process of whipping up this delectable drink.
In all the copycat recipes I’ve found, there were far too many steps involved. I mean, I want to whip this drink together in just about the same amount of time my order would be ready at Starbucks. This recipe is beginner-friendly, fool-proof and needs no fancy equipment or lengthy processes.
All you need is a glass and a jar. No, really!
Why This Recipe Is A Winner?
- No fancy equipment: You don’t even need a milk frother, coffee whisk or anything that the regular kitchen doesn’t have. A jar and your favorite coffee glass is all we need.
- No lengthy processes: You don’t need to make any syrups or even turn on the stove.
- Only 5 ingredients: Instant coffee, brown sugar, cinnamon, milk, ice (does water count as an ingredient?)
Can I Use Brewed Coffee?
You absolutely can. This recipe, however, uses instant coffee. As a student, I survived off of instant coffee and really still do. Plus, we’re aiming for quick and easy with this recipe.
What Type Of Milk Can I Use?
Your favorite. Use your favorite kind of milk. I love full fat milk and that’s what I’m using in this recipe. You can swap it out for oat, almond, skimmed, or any other type of milk you prefer.
